Ivan Us, Senior Advisor in the Department of Foreign Economy Policy at the NISS, commented in the program “Head to Head” on the UATV English channel regarding economic programs of political parties that obtained seats in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. In his interview Ivan Us reviewed economic ideas of all five partiers, while indicating their most fundamental issues. He also emphasized that a political party, which defended protectionist ideas in the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, failed to cross the necessary election threshold. It can be concluded from this fact, that there is no public demand in protectionist politics in Ukraine.
