November 21 is a unique day, the day of two Revolutions. It's no coincidence they both fell on the St. Michael's Day, who is traditionally viewed as a fighter against evil and dark forces, as each of the Revolutions was a symbolic fight of good against evil.

In 2004, the Ukrainians have acted against the contemporary government's attempts to steal their choice. In 2013, the day when the entire country held its breath anticipating the confirmation of its European choice, the autocratic government has denied the people's desire to follow their chosen path to Europe and their identity in the big European family.

Each year, we mark this day as an inspiring example of the Ukrainian people's patriotism, its dedication to the ideals of democracy. I sincerely congratulate Ukrainians with the Day of Dignity and Freedom.
